It's a dynamic world filled with all sorts of contradicting personalities etc. It's hard for us to balance everything that goes on in life and maintain these connections despite.

Not all are, however, if some of yours are, thers a lovely saying that floats around, often received in email in boxes, its about saying that people come into your life for a time, a reason, a season or forever, each person has a specific reason, and time roster if you like, once the job is finished, often there friendhsip will just naturally move on, the growth/lesson has happened, and the reason for being is not needed or required any more, take the love from a friendhsip, and enjoy that , always:)even after its shadow has passed......
