In a society that believes in nothing; fear becomes the only agenda. A society that believes in nothing is particularily frightened by people who believe in anything. Thereby labeling those people as fundamentalists or fanatics. Is society heading there?

We seem to use fear to sell everything from toothpaste to politics. But we are also, generally, awakening to a spirituality that looks beyond fear and begins to acknowledge responsibility and brotherly love. Our Pres. wasn't elected out of fear but look how he is being attacked. That Obama was even elected is, to me, one of the surest signs I can imagine that there is hope, that we are moving in the right direction. I certainly hope so.

The American society believes in many things. But religion teaches fear. Fear of god, and the unknown. Seldom does religion of any sort teach Man to face their fears. We are fed fear at our mother's tits. Fear is what makes society from one place avoid a society from another. American societies breed fear. Everyone is afraid of someone else.
