The fall of communism came about by new thinking and reform led by people such as Gorbachev. To attribute the change of communism to a singer and actor is foolhardy. Communism fell because people were tired of the shackles of poor government.

Could it have been when he wore those lights on his leather jacket. The government just threw their hands up in disgust and said lets get the hell out of here.

I would find it very difficult to imagine that David Hasselhoff had any real impact on anything. (Except, maybe, my nerves)

Wasn't he "singing" on the wall when it fell? Or did he fall off the wall while he was singing? Or did his "singing: make the wall fall? I forget.

When the Berlin wall was being knocked down he was singing. He's still alive so I presume he wasn't on the actual wall.... Maybe his teeth blinded Krushchev, who knows?

I am sure that the communist leaders quaked every time they heard his voice...I know he makes me want to surrender...to anyone!!! Take me...(not really, I love the Hass...he has the greatest sense of humour...and takes the mickey out of himself frequently)
