Be honest are your points and your rank important to you or do you just enjoy answering peoples questions and finding stuff out?

Points are fun, but don't mean much other than entertainment value to me. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy them too. Still, I will answer what I will answer, regardless of how someone wants to rate the answer.

I enjoy asking and answering other peoples questions. Like any ranked system, its always an added bonus to get points, but I would do just as I do if AB didn't have a points system

I turn the points thing off in my profile - I just like answering the questions and so on.

It really doesn't matter to me. I just enjoy answering and chatting with everyone :)

i like the chatting right up until i am about to go up a level.then i turn into a point whore.

Oh, I get an occasional thrill when I see it, but I also often forget it for weeks at a time. The points would not be enough to keep me here if I didn't enjoy the company.

I use the points to det a deadline - for example - 'ok I have to get off answerbag when I get 30 points - its been hours'

To be honest, believe it or not, for the first half year I was on AB, I didn't even pay attention to my points and what level I was at. I wasn't even really aware that members here progressed through various levels! When I finally realized this, I was already at the Intermediate level or something like that. Lol.

Well. I'm here for the community and such, cause I just LOVE people. But I must admit, I was pretty happy about going level 17 just 5 minutes ago... since I only needed 2 points, I was thoroughly annoyed... but now I'm satisfied since I knocked the 2 points out of the way and I'm just enjoying peeps again, haha

The points are fun, and I like the level milestones, but I enjoy answer questions a lot.

I enjoy answering questions and I used to enjoy learning a lot because a lot of questions needed research. Sadly AB has very few questions from which you can learn these days. There is an awful lot of fluff about. I take too many breaks and have cut down my time here much too much for my points or position to be of the major importance. I like it because i have made friends here and they have helped me a lot and I return to keep in touch. The fact I earn quite a lot of points is a bonus.

I enjoy my friends the most, they know who they are, those people are why I keep coming back to AB
