How come demons don't just attack us outright; As in hurt us physically or frighten us to the point of mental anguish?

Because, I suspect, they don't actually exist. We, as humans, have all sorts of fears, illnesses and difficulties. True to our nature we tend to anthropomorphise these (ie: attach human-like characteristics to them). Example - we give animals names, and voices and describe their behaviour the way we'd describe ours. We do the same with cars, and the wind and all sorts of other things. So demons are just human imagination attaching human characteristics to our fear of the dark... That's my opinion anyway.

they dont just attack us outright because their supposedly being controlled by the devil or satan/lucifer whatever you want to call him and between god and lucifer their is a balance so demons cant outright hurt or kill people for no reason their is a balance between good and evil and both know not to disturb it

Actually, demons do attack outright, though they aren't known for that really. If you delve into the occult, such as seances, ouija board games, and abominable things like that, you are sure to attract their attention. People have been known to have been picked up off the ground a few feet, and scratched up bad and even thrown across the room. Haiti has ALL sorts of voodoo stories like that. Haitians have a zombie state like drug that makes people act like the walking dead, for when the conscious takes a lunch break (when someone gets high) demons are waiting in the balconies. Also, though TRUE Christians cannot be possessed, for the Holy Spirit will not allow demons to inhabit a believer, non christians CAN be possessed. Christians can be oppressed and reading occultist books such as Ann Rice books where Satanist poems and rituals and such are common, CAN REALLY deprive people of sleep and of their sanity.

occult? does anyone really know what occult means? occult plainly means the unknown so dont go and start saying how the occult is about demons and possession thats absolute crap and since when do sane people believe stories from strangers on the internet? its the internet for god sake, anyone can make up anything TRUE christians? christianity preaches self preservation and not knowing, they would rather know nothing than everything, the world is harsh evil is all around us god wont save you

The enemy or the devil and his imps lie to humans and fill people's heads with fear, doubt , unbelief etc. That is why we need to recognize when this is him and rebuke it and read Gods word. We will have better thoughts as we renew our mind in the word of God. The enemy roams this earth in the spirit and trys to rob, steal and destroy us. But we have Jesus and he goes to battle everytime for us. We pray alot in this home everytime we go out we pray for protection for our aniimals and home and traveling mercies etc. It important to ask God for this and the angels protect us.

Because they are not real......they are just superstitious nonsense from a bygone age. There are no monsters under the bed, or hiding in the wardrobe. Demons are a fictional creation of man, created to control the ignorant and superstitious, the weak of mind and poor of judgement. They are also used as an excuse for our failings, our wrong doings and temptations. A fact..gods get their power from demons, we are made to believe through fear.

Because they don't exist. How many times has a non-believer seen a vision of god (or Jesus or Mary), or been attacked by a demon?

That would be a poor strategy. If there is a hell, why would you want to show its worst elements to a person? Doing that would only make the soul recoil and look to find and serve the good. You don't sell cars by showing footage of wrecks (I know, crash test dummies, but not real ones with dead people), cell phones with brain tumor rates, etc. You sell it with the good stuff. It makes little sense for a demon or negative force to lure you in with pain. That'll scare you away. Pleasure is the way. Deals, physical rewards, money. Those are the things people trade their integrity in for.
