A few years ago I was retrofitting the constant flow inverter on the cascading minter valve. Well it used a high tech carbon fiber casing and I had little time to fabricate a new casing. So, I took steel wool and shot some Gamma radiation at it and repacked the casing with the enriched steel wool and when I lit it up the system ran better than ever. I bet you have done that as well and now you know the rest of the story

Used to use it to clean copper pipes ready for soldering when i was a plumber. I also know people who keep the shine on copperpipes using steel wool, just for show. Looks nice in a cottage.

I used to use it to clean my stainless steel sinks. I also would see bits of it in my dad's carpet and youngest sister's carpeting. Then, I found out it's used to pack crack pipes. I'll bet you can guess why I don't see or speak to them.
