If you knew you were going to die, would you arrange your funeral party so you can say your last goodbyes to family and friends as well as celebrating the life you had? OR would you prefer to arrange the party, but insist it takes place after your death?

Do it ahead of time, but not call it a "Funeral". I don't want to cause any more pain to my loved ones than I have to, and calling it that would ruin it for them.

There are already some plans put into place to assist those who have to deal with arrangements and my last requests. I think that if I was in a fit state of mind, and had the physical strength, there are some people i would like to interact with, as a personal way of saying goodbye!

I would like to do both - a celebration of my life before my death and after my death. No sad funeral service for me.

When I die I want all of the people who were close to me to have a really big party. Everybody there should have a good time and not grieve, at least not for me. Funerals are for the living. The dead, regardless of what one believes, most likely do not care about their own funeral by that point in time anyway.

I don't have much family and I don't have any friends. My lover would get everything and I would say my last goodbye to him personally on my death-bed.
