There are some places here that have campgrounds, but we've only ever been on a 1 day canoe/float trip. It's very relaxing and fun. We usually ear t-shirts and shorts or swimsuits. We usually have a cooler with beer/soda/water and bring some sandwiches and chips.

Yes, in Alaska on the Swanson River Lake System, it was great, 4 or 5 days, normal food, snacks, burgers, steaks, bacon, eggs, etc. Lots of different types of clothing, shorts, jeans, t/shirts, sweatshirts, raincoat, etc. Lots of beaver, moose, flipped the canoe on the last day, lost some fishing gear. Good time though.
