  • Not as much as when they spell like they're texting
  • No really, its the internet and i feel more relaxed. I'm pretty sure i've made errors like writing 'stupidest' rather than 'most stupid' Also, i take into account that not everyone is a native English speaker. I do drive myself crazy, when i say something is 'illegal' i often write 'illeagle' like..a sick bird :P Drives me crazy when I do that.
  • 1) "Adjective stupidest Superlative form of stupid: most stupid. Usage notes The usual and more respectable superlative form used for stupid is most stupid. This form which does not follow common usage and rules is sometimes used instead of "most stupid" to emphasize stupidity." • It doesn't bother me at all.
  • Stupidest is a word, but not of the best grammatical usage. There are a lot more serious breaches of grammar which occur here. Adjective: stupidest Superlative form of stupid: most stupid. [edit] Usage notes: The usual and more respectable superlative form used for stupid is most stupid. This form which does not follow common usage and rules is sometimes used instead of "most stupid" to emphasize stupidity. Retrieved from "http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/stupidest"
  • I think I may be a culprit. I am not well and it is affecting my memory etc. I hope you can excuse my terrible grammar. xxx
  • Does not drive me crazy at all. AB is worldwide and we all have our different ways to communicate. Global diversity.
  • Doesn't bother me at all. I am not here to judge a person's grammar. The worse thing you could do would be to point it out to the person.
  • LOL!!! ( does that bother you ??) Not really, I understand 'coingae' and enjoy it, I often make up words, like "wonderifous"......... but hey, the words in our dictonary came about one way or another didnt they, if not by useage, then what?.... but, there is a secret side to me I do like the corect useage of '' where, they , theirs, them or they etc.....
  • thats the stupidest question......
  • no, at lest u actully spell rite nd r not using txt tlk m8.
  • I fink dat it's the stupidest thing iv herd dat u r woryn about grammar on da Web.
  • Not really. I do not consider posting on answerbag as a means of publicising erudition, more as away of communicating. If some people have been deprived of the opportunity to learn perfect (according to you at least) English it hardly seems fair to compound society's failure by criticising them for trying to communicate anyway.
  • Definitely it does drive me crazy!
  • I do not mind that at all..I don't like people to be abusive and rude to others..if they are polite I don't mind the grammer as long as I can read it :D I have to admit some are lazy with it and it can be annoying..but if they treat people right its fine by me :D
  • Nah, it could be worster if they sweared a lot.
  • Depends on the violation. Some, like the word "stupidest", are not bothersome to me--in fact, I've probably used that word myself quite a bit. However, there are some poor grammar habits that bother me--especially if they actually cause confusion. Case in point: people who drop contractions. By this, I mean people who write "won" for "won't", "don" for "don't", and so forth. This becomes a problem when they say the word "can"...do they *mean* "can", or are they saying "can't"? It's not always obvious. And there are others...but I'll stop my rant here.
  • Hey!... What's wrong with stupidest? That's what I'm shoot'n for! :)
  • Good point...also AB should include "Spell Check" on its site for those of us who are "spelling challenged". + 5
