It's impossible to say for sure, because there are no surviving histories or biographies on Constantine's life and rule. As a conqueror he lead a number of battles and killed Ruricius and his army in the Battle of Verona. Of his own family though, Constantine had his eldest son Crispus put to death by "cold poison;" and his wife Empress Fausta was left to die in an over-heated bath for their immoralities.
