Because you allow yourself to think you are stupid and clumsy. Try thinking of yourself as vibrant, out going, intelligent, and things will change.

I can be pretty stupid and clumsy too...I don't think changing our thoughts will ever totally eliminate a natural disposition, but it can definitely make it so we are not so negatively affected when we do act stupid/clumsy. By being okay with not always looking our best, we take away a lot of the emotional charge when it happens and are able to just laugh it off and move on promptly.
