I gave toilet paper rolls to my Hedgehog back in the day. It didn't bother her any. Have you tried neosporin for her ear? I know it can work for cats so I wouldn't think it would harm bunnies.

Yes, I've never had a problem with those paper rolls. About the ear infection, have you had it checked out by the vet, has it been cultured? If you can get a culture done and find out exactly what is causing the infection, then your vet can use the specific drug to knock it out inside of something broad-spectrum like Baytril. If you can't get help through drugs, there are is a surgical treatment but I'd save that for last resort. If your bunny seems in pain with that infection, you might also look into a pain reliever like Banamine so he at least feels better and can eat well, might help his poop :-)

I have been trying to post this and it wont let me in the comment so i will do it as an answer I guess. Well here is the thing- She doesnt seem to be in any pain at all. She is eating, playing and acting completely normal. The only way this brough my attention was cuz when it first started she was shaking her head and scratching her ear. It is off and on and only happens once a day either between 6-9am or later on in the day. Once though- never twice. She is producing normal cecotrophs cuz I got to see one the other day but she didn't eat it. She is a little chunky- 6.5 when she is supposed to be 5 or something like that. If she was in that much pain to cause cecal dysbiosis shouldn't it be happening more than that? And she would act a little off at least? I m pretty good at reading my bunnies so I m confused on this one. Maybe I am feeding her too much greens? Or could they be turning into a blob cuz she just doesn't feel like eating them? what do you think Galeanda? Thanks so much for your input.

IT wont let me post comments!! This is in response to Galeandas comment: I m beginning to wonder. She is turning four and I think it may be a bit of a struggle for her to reach. I have noticed that since I got her spayed she really calmed down and has gotten lazy. She has her own bedroom for goodness sakes! My mother likes to sneak in here and feed her these human treats which I know is not good for her- they are made out of wheat though. So I will cut those out of the diet. As for cutting out pellets- I got new food for her that is 30% fibre and made out of timothy hay can she keep it? I only give them around 1/2 cup per day. I have two bunnies so shouldn't I be giving them 4 cups of greens? I think she eats more roughage than she eats the pellets though since I slowly introduced it to them. I guess I will cut out the pellets and see how that goes. I m bad at estimating how much greens to give them. She just loves them so much!
