It's a small computer, lightweight, used primarily for surfing the net. It usually weighs 2 or 3 pounds and is much smaller than a standard laptop. Screens are usually about 7 inches. Because these are simpler computers, they boot up super fast and do not overheat like a lot of laptops do. They tend not to come with DVD/Blu-ray players because the primary purpose of netbooks is simply accessing the net. Netbooks are cheaper than regular laptops - should cost about $425 or less. If you're paying more, you're getting hosed and you might as well just get a regular computer!
