No, everyone should pay according to what they make. If you make a lot more then your neighbor, you'll end up paying in more, but both should have an equal percentage and no loopholes as far as I'm concerned.

Yes, they should pay a proportionally higher percentage of taxes, being able to afford it. This is how it works in other countries.

We either need to go back to a higher top tax rate for the very wealthy, as we had after WWII to retire all that debt, or virtually eliminate Social Security, Medicare, Medicade and other entitlement spending. Otherwise, the USA is doomed to do just what Chrysler and GM have done -- only we are not too big to fail, we're too big to bail out.
