  • No. It is inferior to google and does not have an advanced search option. Plus, it looks pretty tacky, unlike google.
  • the same way MS's other attempts to beat google in that game have; epic failure
  • Bing = fail.
  • All Microsoft needs to do is make a giant technological leap over the best search technology know to man. Unfortunately, Microsoft has never made a giant leap in technology with ANY of its products. They copy and push others out of the market with FUD (fear, uncertainty and doubt). And that strategy isn't going to work in unseating Google.
  • I find it annoying as all heck to be honest. I dont really know what was so bad with the name live search, its only been a few years now. I honestly will stick with google they have been very reliable over the years.
  • There are no search engines other than Google. Well, Wolfram Alpha is kinda neat.
  • I just took it for a few quick spins around the block, and I was kind of impressed. I got a good first impression, I'll have to play with it some more to get a better idea. Thanks for the link !! :)
  • I don't like the idea of a beta period Chicago Lady. I was in something called Q&A beta and now everything I did does not exist. I would approach this with caution. It is good you asked this question, I found a bing cookie last night and wondered what it was from. Last week I was in msn. clicked and ended on something called, Quest. Funny, it seemed to know me. Lately I pause before I click, I am starting to feel like Alice in Wonderland.
  • 1) It has some very interesting features, which were not by the old version of Google or Livesearch. One could give it a try. But I just noticed that Google added recently some new interesting features too, for instance, the "Show options..." link on the result page, or the filter by image and video search. 2) "Bing (formerly Live Search, Windows Live Search and MSN Search), codenamed Kumo is the name of Microsoft's new web search engine, designed to compete with the industry leaders Google and Yahoo!. Unveiled by Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer on May 28, 2009 at the All Things D conference in San Diego. Bing is a replacement for Live Search, and it went fully online on June 1, 2009. Notable changes include the addition of related searches (called "Explorer pane" on the left side of search results), search suggestions as you type, and the ability to keep track of your search history." Some of the features it has come up with are downright revolutionary when you compare it to Google and number two, Yahoo. Credit is due for Microsoft for providing users a capable, well thought-out search engine. You might take some time getting used to the "new set of search results" though. They have also managed to create a buzz around it and all that needs to seen is whether people will start using the service regularly. Technology enthusiasts and certain sections of this niche community might like the service and may even use the service, but replacing Google with Bing is a huge decision even for them. To replace what has become synonymous with search might be difficult and we do not see Google losing any market share in the near future. What Microsoft is looking at is the adoption of Bing by the layman, your average Internet user who still swears by Google and in some cases, is simply unaware of the fact that there is another option out there! Microsoft has had a good start with the Bing by creating the buzz around what is actually a nice search engine. However, it has a long, weary road to traverse before it could be a Google replacement. Microsoft however does seem to have Yahoo in its sight first!" Source and further information: http://www.techtree.com/India/Reviews/Google_Beats_Bing_Rules_the_Ring/551-102677-597-2.html

  • Good Try!
  • I think it is pretty cool. For most my searches I have found that the results are equally good if not better. So, I don't see any reason to not give my searches to something new.
  • it doesn't allow chines to search porn.
  • I normally use "Dogpile" for my searches since it's a conglomeration of a lot of different ones. I will take a look at Bing though ... thanks for letting us know about it!!
  • i personally didn't like bing, i would say that google is the best than comes yahoo after that comes bing
