hell yes!...its part of my OCD
-
OMG I do!!
-
YES and they also must be in order by hanger color- blue hangers for casual, White hangers for work, in order from shortest to longest length.
-
not only are the hangers facing the same direction, the clothes are organized by short sleeve/long sleeve/summer/winter and size.
-
"Of course!" Otherwise I can't sleep!:)
-
yes and they are all in order of color. All must be on a similar hanger. (and they cost so much) but it does make a different..
-
Yes, I do that. :)
-
I don't HAVE to, but it sure helps keep the closet organized.
-
Nope, whatever way they happen to be :-)
-
Hehe shamefully, yes. All clothes are in order of type and within that colour. I also have two different colours of hanger - and arrange them so that they alternate. My wardrobe is that of an anal person, for sure.
-
Most of the time. I have my closet organized by color, length, and hangers all facing the same direction. As long as I'm not in a hurry though.
-
lol, yes and by color and what i like best. but there is still stuff allover the floor
-
The hook part of the hanger opens to the left. ALWAYS! You would be wise to remember that ;)
-
hmmm.... hangers facing the same direction but wouldnt say that about my clothes ... I hate to have my clothes not in their place... try to tell my sons that that is a way to keep your clothes looking nice for a longer period... but they wont learn!!
-
..wow, could some of y'all come fix up my closets... ...I just hang it and fergit it..... and I'm with armygirl....some of it ends up floorbound...
-
No because if a burgler wanted to steal clothes it would make it too easy for him.
-
Yes mommie dearest
-
Why naturally, doesn't everyone!? (and yes the clothes too)
-
Well...yes,I admit it!!
-
The hangers but not the clothes
-
The hangers all are, but not all the clothes.
-
Yes i do, looks better that way. More organized that way.
-
I'm afraid I do. It's easier to go through them and put them in place that way.
-
I don't use coat hangers... I hate them.
-
Yup, I like to keep everything organized and can't stand to have it hanging a different way. I guess it's just that I've gotten used to it hanging that way and me taking it out a certain way that it frustrates me to have to take it out differently. O_O
-
Yes, I do. I'm a little OCD.
-
Yes, I do! And it is not because I am ocd - it just makes it easier to find clothes in a hurry! I do not go as far as hanging them in colour order -well.. not all the time... but... er.. I do hang them up by colour on the washing line - that looks so much neater and colourful!
-
Yes, it makes the closet look neater.
-
Yes. And slacks, long sleeves, short sleeves, jackets all separated or grouped.
-
I just checked the Hall Closet, Jim's Closet and my closet...apparently we do. All hangers in all closets are facing the exact same way...not a rebel among 'em! :)
-
No, most of the time I am not naturally that orderly.
-
You bet! Thats the military way. You learn some good things while in service to your country.
-
Yes - I have them all facing to the left as you look at them - I don't like hangers or clothes going opposite ways. Mostly, I have blouses and skirts hanging in there. Slacks - well, a few, but I don't like how they get somewhat wrinkled when draped over a hanger, and if I leave them hanging long, they extend too far down in the closet even tho' I'm not tall. I often lay slacks on a table to the side of my dresser - that way I can leave them flat rather than folded as they would be if draped over a hanger. As for the hangers themselves - I do have different types of hangers - they're not all the same. Some folks buy many plastic hangers of various colors, and even put certain types of clothing on each color (or even match the hanger to the article of clothing if they can!) - I have seen this, and to me it's a bit "over the top" but it certainly is the height of organization, and it looks quite pretty in a closet, actually.
-
oh.yes how do you know that...? is that bad? how to overcome it..i hate it?
-
I have mine all hanging the same way, the front of the shirt faces my left side. My husband's closet is the opposite. He hangs his things all facing his right side. We're both right-handed people. Go figure!
-
Not any more. There was a time when my clothes hangers had to all be PERFECTLY spaced apart, too! Ridiculous, I know!
-
all hangers go in the same direction.they also must alternate between black and white, and all clothes must be in a color spectrum pattern.
-
Yes i do , and one trouser per hanger also.
-
Yes I do ... and all the hangers are the same too.
-
I just don't care anymore. I got stuff thrown everywhere in my closet.
-
Yes did you ever try to get a hanger off in the Dark that's facing the wrong way.
-
Yes I do, makes it easier to find the clothes I'm looking for.
-
yessir! and I will go even one step further to demonstrate this compulsion - I have two color hangers: red and blue. all the short sleve shirts go on the red hangers and all the long sleeve shirts go on the blue hangers... and the are all color coordinated
-
hangers? I just pick my work shirt up off the floor and throw it in the dryer for 15 minutes
-
I don't,but it drives my sister CRAZY if they aren't! I can't tell you how weird this is to me,considering I wash, dry, and hang her work uniforms!*
-
Yes, doesn't everyone, they are also color coordinated according to the spectrum of color. http://photo.net/photo/edscott/vis00010.htm
-
I think it looks nice, but no. I am too busy.
-
Yes, that's one of the many strange things I obsess over!
-
Yep and it's even been organized by color! Black hangars are shirts that go to the cleaner, blue hangars are good shirts (no stains or rips) for wearing out, white hangars are good shirts that might have paint or stains on them so good to work in and red hangers are all long sleeves. I didn't set it up, my housekeeper did, but it's awesome once you get used to it ... no searching for anything!
-
Yea! I'm also Obsessive-Compulsive...
-
YUP!!!!
-
Yes, but I do it for a practical reason, if all the hangers were facing differant directions, I couldn't lift them all into/out of the wardrobe in a single motion. Is it still OCD when you do something for a good reason?
-
Yes, it makes more sense that way. Who wants to pull out clothes from a hanger which faces backwards(with the open end facing you)?
-
Yes, definitely, one of my biggest pet peeves is when shirts are facing separate ways. I also hate that in hotel rooms, sometimes their hangers don't come out so they're facing to the right rather than the left (haven't been checked for OCD but this is one of the several things I get "obsessed" with)
-
Yes, I do. It makes me happy; LOL!
-
Yes. Yes I do.
-
I actually do. It doesnt matter. You're just neat and it makes sense for functionality thats all. I dont know if you're wondering about having ocd. or maybe I have it becasue i do it to haha. I would say you have nothing to worry about.
-
Actually yes...Most of the time anyway, when I can actually get to my wardrobe. It's easier to get the clothes in and out that was. Dont tell my psychiatrist though, I'm sure he'd find something in it!
-
If your hangers didnt face all the same way,it would be hard to get to your clothes.
-
Of course. Having the hook face towards the wall makes it much easier to pick clothes from the closet. Does that mean that there are actually people that don't care? Where have the standards gone? The whole world is falling into chaos!!!
-
Yes, always have. It's easier to find things that way. Someone once told me it would be easier to grab a handful in a fire but I'm not sure that is what I'd be thinking of at a time like that.
-
My skeletons insist they be all in the same directions.
-
Yes, my husband says I have a mild case of OCD plus ALL my hangers have to be white.
-
yes, it just makes it easier to pick things out.
-
yes my closet will not allow them to face different. +5
-
yes and clothes in color order and by type leanth of sleves etc.
-
Yes, I cant stand when I also go to peoples houses and they have their hangers on floor or hangers r the opposite of each other. I end up fixing it for them. lol
-
Yes. It helps me find what I want to wear.
