  • i dont think so.
  • no... its what you do while on it and how you feel the next morning thats a sin.
  • It depends on the religion. As for the things that are sins according to the Bible, no. However, it does have a lot to say about the foolishness of drunkeness. Drinking is fine, it just that, like most things in life, you can have too much of a good thing. I do believe that overconsuption of alcohol can cause one to sin.
  • No. But the excess use of it may be considered one.
  • you know i agree whith every buddy exsept in 1 thing you see drinking is a sin cuz you become out of control and you do things whith out realising it and every one that sees you for the 1 time they will think you are a freak or som. and i dont think any 1 wold like to be called a freak .
  • i don't know, but i could sure use a drink right now.
  • The church I go to teaches that the wine of the bible was of two kinds: alcoholic and non-alcoholic. I do not get this when I read the bible and I don't know of any independent research that agrees with this point of view. Since this is a doctrinal issue it is up to me whether or not I believe it. I don't drink alcohol because of many reasons. One, my family is plagued by alcoholism and it is shown that alcoholism may be genetic. I say why chance it. Second, I am an obnoxious drunk. I can't stand myself when I'm drunk I can imagine how others feel about it. Third, other people who know me to be a Christian might think less of me for drinking and that would in turn reflect badly on Chirst. That isn't something I want to do. Fourth, alcohol is expensive and I have other uses for my money. Any one of these is enough for me to not want to drink. The bible makes it very clear, however, that drunkeness is a sin and should be avoided completely.
  • No. Jesus drank wine. It is documented in the Bible. Ecclesiastes Chapter 7 discusses moderation in all things. Wine, in moderation, has been found almost medicinal, while in large amounts is very harmful.
  • I don't think it's a sin. But when drinking alcohol makes people violent and careless, it's a problem. Or when they make bad choices - like driving while drunk - it's a problem. Or when you drink so much so frequently that it deteriorates your health, it's a problem.
