  • The objectives of the various participants are so scattered it is hard to say. There is no question there is waste in government at every level, and I am all for reducing that. But the USA already has the lowest tax rate of any industrialized nation on earth. If the tea baggers want to slash the top rate, funneling even more wealth to the richest 1% while gutting important government functions, I am dead-set against that idea. I can make my morning coffee with good clean drinking water each morning because some liberal leftie mandated clean water standards and oversight to enforce them. I can have sausage and eggs without fear of food-borne illness or death because liberals instituted food inspection. The list goes on and on, and I do not want to live in a world where private, for profit businesses take care of all these things. We tried that back in the days of the robber barons. We know what happens.
  • I think the "tea-baggers" (their OWN term for themselves) undercut their hyperpromoted, baseless cause by choosing a term for their movement that contained a hilarious sexual double entendre. Why anyone would choose to protest a middle-class tax cut is beyond me. Why they would choose to support Bush 43's fatcat rich tax breaks is beyond me.
  • You mean like in Boston when they became traitors to their Sovereign King...They should be hanged.
