  • Of course!!!! There are absolutely innocent until we polute them with the evil of our world.
  • Absolutely. However, we must talk to our kids and inform them of evil things. The only way to trually protect them is with knowledge so that they will know how to handle things and themselves. We can not cocoon them.
  • thats what my mom did and look at me. bad idea cuz then they dont know what to watch for in a potentualy bad situation
  • They ARE innocent and should be treated as such!!
  • Well, no. Children are innocent and they should be protected, but you can't give them lives surrounded by cotton buds. In other words you can't protect children from "all evil", and you shouldn't try.
  • My definition of evil appears to be different from other people's. Wrapping a child up in cotton wool and being paranoid over them is not good, and neither is pretty much leaving them to it. Really, you need a healthy balance. As a parent, guardian, whatever, you do your darndest to keep them safe from real harm, but occassionally kids are going to make mistakes. Bad things happen to us all, treating kids as if they don't will only lead to an inability to cope later in life
  • I don't know how "sweet" kids are but they are innocent and should be protected from evil. They should not be raised in a "vacuum" either. We need to teach them that not all people have their best interest at heart and let them know the difference between things like "good hugs" and "bad hugs" without making them paranoid and suspicious. Unfortunately, we live in a world where children are not safe and we need to address this and at the same time keep them as innocent as possible.
  • "Evil" is a highly subjective term. Children should be protected from harm, but you have to let them make mistakes or they'll stay just that innocent and naive for too long, and that's definitely not good. You need to protect children from things that would hurt them, but "Evil" is something that we all have to be exposed to at some point or another. And in the end, it's better for them to be allowed to make some mistakes and be exposed to some "Evil" while they're still young enough to be protected from any actual harm that it might do them.
  • Yeah, and then when they get out into the real world they wil be destroyed within seconds. A sheltered lifestyle isn't always a good thing. I think that you should subject kids to evil enough for them to know how to deal with it. At least they'll be ready.
