Have you ever bought something, brought it home, then forgot where you put it? Or even worse, you forgot that you bought it and don't realize it until days later then think "Didn't I buy that? I did. Now where did I put it?"

Absolutely. It's even worse when it comes to the point where you go out and buy another one.. then find the first one. Done that way too many times.

Just *one* episode among a few = I once "lost" a $1500.00 gold coin in my collection for four (4) whole years. I found it when I moved my residence. [Idiot!] ;-)

Yeah. Usually only things inconsequential though. For instance, vacuum bags or something. Not anything really important.

It happened to me early this year. I bought a jacket as a birthday present for a friend. I have no idea where it is to this day. I remember the store where I bought it and I've been searching through my basement to see if I kept it there for safe keeping until his birthday. I searched all my closets and it hasn't appeared yet.

Yes, I do that all of the time. I'd chalk it up to getting older, but I've done that as long as I can remember. Of course, as I get older it only gets worse!

It's rare, but has happened to me. I just hate that! Then you go out and buy it again only to some day find the first one. Uhggggg! ...lol
