Help answer this question below.
Replace it. It would cost half the price of a new one, maybe more, to get it repaired especially if it's the tube. A purple picture usually means the Green gun circuitry is dead or dying. It may be a component in the Green amp circuit that is dying and tripping the power supply.
my 42" philips LCD just went black, i still have sound but no picture, it's 2.5 years old ....HELP

I have a 60inch philips that is about 4 years old. The problem is occationaly, when I am watching it, the screen goes black and I loose sound for about 30-60 seconds. When it comes on the mute icon appears for about 5 sec then every things fine any help

On back of philips television theres a small box with 2 screws do u have 2 open it for any thing what is it on there for

I hook up my new lcd tv with my dvd. it plays but the picture is black and white. my dvd works well with my old tv. why is thid so?

You're reading I have a five year old Philips model 28PW5407/01. Since yesterday everytime I turn it on, the colours are all redish/purpleish and it turns itself off after 5-10 seconds. Any idea whats wrong with it and could it be repaired or should i replace it? Thanks
