Help answer this question below.
I have an Associate of Applied Science in Web Development, and I have been unable to find a job with it for almost a year. I have come very close to getting hired, but there are people with documented years of experience and higher degrees always ahead of me. I feel that my college education was just an expensive way to learn the fundamentals that anyone can learn on his or her own, and probably could learn it better. I am 99% self-taught and only about 1% would I ever attribute to college. I feel that my skills are rusting away on the shelf. I would say I am worth at least $40k/year with full health benefits, and that is generally what I look for.
