Yes... Answerbag is free. It DOES require your email and for you to enter a password, as you have already done. To rate (give/take points) and comment, you must be confirmed. You may also need to be confirmed to edit your profile (About Me). Ratings are a way to rank questions within the categories, and answers within the questions. Ratings are NOT supposed to be for PEOPLE, but for the questions and answers. See this page for more about points, levels, ratings, and ratings power: http://www.orangefrogproductions.com/ofp2m_faq_ab_pnts_lvls_rtgspwr.shtml There is no limit to the number of questions you can ask on this site for free, since the site is free. There IS a limit on the number of questions you can ask in a given time period (I believe it's 3-5 in 15 minutes.) See my profile (click my avatar or username), the "Answerbag Questions & Answers" section, and my - currently unfinished - AB User Guide at http://www.orangefrogproductions.com/ofp2m_faq_ab_guide.shtml for more information. BTW: Welcome to Answerbag. Enjoy. ;-)

1) Hi and welcome to Answerbag! I hope you will enjoy the site. 2) You can ask any questions on Answerbag, as long as they are not against the Term of Use: http://www.answerbag.com/a_view/15 Actually, you can post anything in a question field, but it will get rejected if: - it is spam or offensive (you are not allowed to use the site for promotion of some particular product) - it is nonsense (also not written in English) - it is a duplicate (question has already been asked) 3) The number of question inside a give time is limited, so that no single user could flood Answerbag with their questions. Please use the default setting "Search for Answers" when asking a question, it will show you if similar questions - or maybe the same question - have already been asked. In this case, it would not make sense to reask the same question, and your question would probably get rejected as duplicate. 4) Users are supposed to give points to the questions and answers that they find useful. But this does not mean, for instance, that you have to give negative points to an answer when you already knew that answer! Actually, it is not very well seen to give too many negative points. It is better just to ignore those questions or answers that you don't like or don't understand. Positive points given by other users to your questions and answers, or by the Staff to your flaggings come on you point amount (negative points lower your +% percentage). Higher point amounts lead to higher level, and eventually higher rankings, when you come in the top 1000 list.
