I wasn't aware that 'we' had to capitolize black.*
-
We don't but thanks for being uninformed.
-
Since when do we need to capitalize "black"?
-
You only need to do that if you can't spell capitalize. Otherwise, you get a pass on this one.
-
Because white people are racists, blacks are not racist at all. Because of the whites now everyone who uses that word is a racist, just like Mexicans saying brown pride, but if a white person says white pride he must be racist. If your white you are not allowed to be proud, but black brown yellow or whatever can be proud all they want.
-
Because you can't offend white people. Just listen to the popular media. Make fun of white males or southern rednecks all you want. Accuse them of anything you want and it's alright. And by the way, I hate the term 'white'. It is Caucasian. If the 'race' box on a form offers white for 'my people', then I select 'other'.

capitalize I don't capitolize either whats the big deal on capitolizing them
-
This is news to me, I don't capitalise either one and I don't know anyone else who does either.

I didn't realize we were. ...but a guess a little grammar/english lesson might help answer your question. Simple answer (because I'm a simple-minded person at times): Black and White refers to a person or group of people. Like the name Sally and John. Or Hispanic and Asian. So if you are saying that our neighbor, Sally, is "White" then it would be capitolized. It has nothing to do with trying to avoid offending people, Black and White are (probably) both capitolized when refering to a person or group of people.
