Nope, i use avira antivir personal 2009, its good for me.
NO!
It is worse than Norton for being a total memory hog!
Oink oink!
No, and I uninstall it from every machine I work on and put in something that actually works; Avira. FAR more effective, and no subscription fees :)
Hell No!!! Use Avast Home Edition ( www.avast.com ). It's free too.
No, there are free alternatives that work just as well for me.
My wife is an expert with this stuff and she uses Kaspersky.
Norton and McAfee can really screw up other programs.
I keep the McAfee special uninstaller on my USB flash drive. It is the first thing I get rid of when someone has a slow computer.
I got it free with my computer and then I decided to uninstall it because it was a carp antivirus software. I decided to buy Norton Internet Security 2008 with a built in anti-virus software. Far better than McAfee.
I was a devout McAfee user until i discovered Kaspersky.
No I don't -
I has used a few purchase only ones like that and found McAfee to be OK. I have since uninstalled it and just use the free security programme offered by my ISP and installed firefox, i've not had a single problem and actually find it makes everything run a lot smoother, both offine and on.
Ever since norton did that auto billing thing.. and yes I got my refund.
