Help answer this question below.

Played a game today and the bases were loaded in the bottom of the last inning.They needed one run to win.They got it from a single but the one guy never touched 3rd and I ask the ump he missed can I appeal it he said no the run scored before it. is this

    If the runner from second failed to touch third on the single, then the umpire was wrong in denying the appeal: that runner should be called out. But unless that was the third out of the inning (you didn't say how many were out), then you'd still need another out.

    if the person who missed 3rd base is a force out... then yes, you can appeal the run... if the person who missed 3rd is not a force, then the game winning run counts.... unless the game winning run is the one who missed 3rd, but only needing one run to win means the person standing on 3rd is the one run... and the only one to miss is the force out comming in from 2nd. Force out's always happen before runs.
