    I have never owned a private jet, but as an Airframe and powerplant mechanic I have riden in a few.

    At the last airline I flew for, they gave me a $5,000 Lear Jet ride from Memphis to Detroit one day. A pilot already on the trip called in sick, and I think it was the Lakers that had to be flown out for a game. Felt kind of good to kick back on the way, get out as the team arrived, and shortly after fly the airliner out.
