  • Umm. No. I wouldn't be an atheist then would I?
  • And therein lies the rub. Atheits do not believe in God because no one can prove to them there is a God. So how can you believe there is no God without proof? You athiests are all pissed off agnostics.
  • Well the is officially the dumbest thing I have heard all day! Of COURSE they can... They live for that sh*t!
  • Er....hang on...what about....or maybe....nope, not a single one!
  • The problem with this question isn't that an Atheist might not know what someone else might argue, it's that they already have a counterargument for it and therefore consider it an invalid argument.
  • The problem with this question isn't that an Atheist couldn't think of an argument that has been given, it's that they have a counter argument for that and therefore consider it invalid. I am neutral (Agnostic/Buddhist), but have encountered more than my fair share of debates on this topic.
  • I can. I would define god as the universe. The universe exists, therefore god exists. Try praying to the universe, you get the same answers as if you were praying to the Judeo-Christian-Islamic god. - Of course, I could also define god as a piece of toast, in which case, he will exist as soon as my bread is done cooking.
  • I'm not an atheist, but I have an answer you'll probably like. 'God' is merely a projection of your own parents, idealized. As a baby, they cared for you. So of course as an adult, you subconsciously think that should continue.
  • No, and much more intelligent people than me have tried. Some have even spent their entire lives working on that question. I think it would take some real evidence to formulate an original argument, unfortunately humans don't possess any.
  • The Bible! (or any other religious book theists often mention or know by heart) It's written by man, but it was the voice of God! Therefor he must exist. okay never mind, I give up...
  • Yes. God is a legal substitute for drugs and alcohol. There, that's as good as any an argument
  • An original one? That's gonna be a hard one. When you get down to brass tacks, all of the arguments FOR a god: Because I want there to be one.
