What is the percentage of alchohol in red wine, white wine, whiski, beer and vodka?

    Wines sold locally here (Ontario) are generally in the 12-13% area. Beers range from 4% to 8%. Spirits can be from 40% and up.

    Yeah, it depends on the brand and the kind of wine their selling.

    For example, some brands sell 'casual wines' that have about 3.5% to 4% alcohol while they also sell some wines with up to 15% alcohol. They usually put the amount of alcohol on the label in units of 'proof'

    I think proof is supposed to be like parts per 200. (e.g. 50 proof = 25% alcohol)
