  • It was just last week. My husband and I celebrated our 12th wedding anniverary. Grandma took the kids and we went to St. Louis, Missouri (a 5 hr drive from where we live) It was so nice b/c we actually got to be together, be a couple together, have that quality time together we rarely get. We were gone a day and a half only but it was wonderful. We got to enjoy each other without the kids.
  • The bahamas was very relaxing I went to paradise island the water is clear, the sand is white, there are many pools including a heated one, there's entertainment, there's water slides, and there is great food and dining. It was a really great trip
  • never. I actually get less rest on a trip than I do at home. When I travel I am always shopping or attending a concert or something like that so I get very little rest.
  • I sometimes get sent on an overnight for work and this is strangely the most relaxing. I'm all prepared for the work the next day, so I check in to the hotel, and have a nice supper, couple of drinks and an early night. Next morning I don't have to scramble for the bathroom, do my own breakfast, prepare others' packed lunches, put out the trash etc before jumping in the car into rush-hour hell. After enjoying the en-suite facilities and a choice of breakfasts in the dining room, I usually walk or cab to the venue. It's all so much more leisurely and I actually manage to have some 'down time'. So sometimes work is more relaxing than a holiday where you spend ages preparing, making sure everyone else is having a lovely time - worrying that the house isn't being burgled, fretting about delays and overbooking....- I'll stick to work!
  • Everytime I go out alone I feel relaxed because I do it for MYSELF and not for others. In a vacation we tend to bother more about the wellbeing of all the other members and pay the least attention to ourselves.Haven't we had a troublesome period when the linen in the hotel is not changed, the bus doesn't move, the aircraft is delayed and the food smells of palm oil and we fret and fume at the world.Fortunately when we are alone we can adjust out to these finer things and look forward to pure enjoyment!
