Dolores Claiborne, by Stephen King. They did a outstanding job with the movie. It really did follow the book well. Misery tried but the ending was a disappointment, however it was really too graphic to portray it correctly in a movie.

My all time favorite book, "The Stand" was made into my all time favorite movie, "The stand" It had it all, good vs evil, well developed characters, science fiction, the acopolypse...survival, viruses

LORD OF THE RINGS rocks in both mediums! Peter Jackson knew how to make a good movie without even trying to reproduce the experience of reading a great novel (we already had that)
