  • Let's see. I hate Mel Gibson's guts, but I did like Martin Riggs. I find Bruce Willis to be a good actor, but full of himself, so hopefully, they will kill each other. If I have to pick a winner, better Willis than Gibson.
  • Wow you have to make me pick between my two favorite actors! It would be Mclane though, Bruce is tougher than Mel.(Sorry Mel) I love them both, This is so disturbing to have to choose between them!
  • Martin Riggs was a "sharp-shooter," so he wins the gun battle. Hand to hand would be a toss-up.
  • Well, Riggs has backup - his wife (a real tough hard hitting lady and sharpshooting cop) and his partner, Murtaugh. So Riggs might win by numbers. McClane has a wife that divorced him and a semi-delinquent daughter that may not be enough incentive for him to fight through. I would say that in both cases, gun battle and hand to hand, Riggs has an advantage. Riggs was also trained in martial arts whereas McClane is and old fashion street fighter.
  • in a straight up battle: Riggs ... in a cross city battle of survival using your wits and surroundings: McClane
  • Well, that's hard to say. Hand-to-hand, Riggs has better training. Firearms, again, Riggs is far superior. However, McClane is far more resourceful and can take an unfathomable pounding and still keep going. This isn't to say Riggs is a punk; we've seen him stand up to electro-torture. So, Riggs would kill McClane assuming it was in a clean room with nothing in it but guns. If it was in a building or on the street or on a boat or in a plane McClane would probably come out on top.
