It might be possible but without knowing the full details it's hard to offer advice. What I can however do is recommend strongly that you have your own attorney to look over the paperwork that is available. Just make sure that if your attorney doesn't know too much about the area of property law, that they refer you onto an attorney who does so that you can address the issue specifically and with full authority. The biggest recommendation I can make is that you don't simply rely on the word of another homeowner's attorney - you might think you're saving money by doing so but in saving money you may be risking receiving incorrect or biased information that could be detrimental in the long run.
