When people on AB present themselves as God's gift to humanity, do you listen to what they say and give them the time of day or do you keep it brief and occasional?

You mean the pompous arrogant ones who know everything and believe it is their duty to set you straight? Once is quite enough for me. I love getting into lengthy, thoughtful discussions with people who are as good at listening as they are at speaking but I don't need to be lectured to or condescended to by anyone about anything since I have somehow survived to this point in my life without them! Happy Monday Bohemian! :) ((hugs))

The kinds of people who are so adamant about their opposing viewpoints and believe they know everything about anything, esp. their viewpoint? I test them. I disagree kindly with them, and remain open to their viewpoint while backing up my own. If they continue to argue with me, I get angry. By the time I get really angry, I don't even pay attention to them anymore. If these people are open to my viewpoint, I usually add them as a friend and continue the dialogue because that means they really don't think themselves 'God's gift to humanity.' I don't have to disagree with some one to be their friend.
