  • Never heard of that before, I guess we can say puberty is the stage of various hormonal changes, which takes place differently in every person, plus I've seen girls that are adults, and still striked me as "not out of puberty" yet.

  • Puberty continues until physical development ends at around 18 years or so. When everything stops growing and developing the final stage of brain development takes place which finishes at around 22 years old. Periods can start at a young age but the hormonal changes that take place start before and continue long afterwards. For example, a girl who starts her periods at age 11 will still be pubescent at 15 because the process is not complete. Puberty is not just about periods, it refers to the transition of the human body from girl to woman.
