Believe it or not, most American modeling agencies have acknowledged there is a problem with professional models influencing the youth. In recent years, modeling agencies have been requiring their models to keep a certain amount of "chunk" to them in an effort to be healthy, thin, and a good physical model for our easily influenced youth. I think this happened about 2 or 3 years ago. There was an incident involving a model that was over 5 foot 10 and weighed under or right at 100 pounds. She had gotten so thin - they were having trouble finding clothes to stay ON her. They decided it was time to regulate.
