Babylon is an important Rastafarian term, referring to the white patriarchy that has been oppressing the black race for centuries through economic and physical slavery. Rastafarianism is defiance of Babylon.
I and I is a complex term, referring to the oneness of Jah (God) and every human. Rastafarian scholar E. E. Cashmore: "I and I is an expression to totalize the concept of oneness, the oneness of two persons. So God is within all of us and we're one people in fact. I and I means that God is in all men. The bond of Ras Tafari is the bond of God, of man. But man itself needs a head and the head of man is His Imperial Majesty Haile Selassie I of Ethiopia." The term is often used in place of "you and I" or "we" among Rastafarians, implying that both persons are united under the love of Jah.

I AM A RASTA- WOMAN OUT OF CAPTIVITY (VOLUNTARILY LIVING IN BABYLON ), WHY? I BELIEVE THAT JAH IS RULER OF ALL THINGS IN THIS WORLD AND OUT OF IT, THEREFORE EVERYTHING IS IN HIS HANDS ALWAYS HAS BEEN AND ALWAYS WILL BE. I KNOW THAT BLACK PEOPLE DON'T COME FROM EUROPE, NEITHER FROM THE CARIBBEAN AS SOME PEOPLE MAY BELIEVE, BUT FROM AFRICA WHERE WE LIVED IN HARMONY FROM WHEN JAH CREATED US ALL (BEGINNING OF TIME) UNTIL WE WERE BRUTALLY KIDNAPPED, TORTURED (LARGE AMOUNTS OF WHICH DIED), THEN SOLD INTO SLAVERY, THIS MAINLY SERVED TO BREAK LINKS TO OUR TRUE HERITAGE WHICH IS NORMALLY HANDED DOWN IN ORIGINAL TONGUES FROM GENERATION TO GENERATION ALONG WITH OUR TRUE IDENTITY CULTURES AND HISTORIC TRUTHS NECESSARY FOR SPIRITUAL AND ACTUAL HARMONY AND GROWTH. KNOW TOO, THAT IT IS AN ABOMINATION TO DIG UP THE SACRED TOMBS OF OUR ANCESTORS, NEVER MIND TO HAVE THEIR BODIES ENCASED IN GLASS AND PUT ON SICK DISPLAYS THROUGHOUT THE WORLD IN VARIOUS MUSEUMS TO THIS DAY. WELL APART FROM THE BLATANT THEFT OF ALL GOLD AND JEWELS, STILL THE WESTERN WORLD SAY THAT 'AFRICA IS A THIRD WORLD COUNTRY AND OWE BILLIONS IN DEBT', AND TALK ABOUT HOW THEY ARE CIVILIZED AND WE NEED THEM, THEY HAVE DRAWN A FEW LINES IN AFRICA AND CAL IT DIFFERENT PLACES, EVEN THOUGH, EUROPE IS STILL MINUTE! AFRICA IS STILL ONE MASSIVE COUNTRY, WHICH ALONE REPRESENTS THE LARGEST LAND IN THE WORLD! AFRICA IS EQUAL TO ROUGHLY ONE THIRD OF THE TOTAL LAND OF THE ENTIRE PLANET, YET SOME EVEN BELIEVE THAT THE TINY LITTLE PLACE ENGLAND IS COMPARABLE IN SIZE, ACTUALLY YOU COULD EASILY FIT OVER 100 MICROSCOPIC ENGLAND'S INTO AFRICA.

That was deep, and it's definetely wise to know your heritage and where you're coming from, especially since living in englnd arises many problems and racism even between jamaicans and africans. I used to not understand how, to some people, slavery was never an issue and there seemed to be no anger which i myself feel about it. But I realise it's because no matter what our feelings of disgust may be about it, fact is fact and it happened. Racism is alive, as we all know, but slavery is dead...there is nobody here to take any anger out on now. And it is not good for your soul to have feelings of hostility and bitterness inside of you, so you have to let it go.

It is well to know our ROOTs, but does it really matter now? In esence WE HAVE ALL EVOLVED FROM AFRICA whether we are black, white or whatever. Slavery was an evil trade - but a lot of humans are evil wherever they come from and whatever creed. In remote parts of the world canabalism is still used to scare other tribes. Africa was never united as a country it was many fighting tribes and still is in places. Slavery is not just an African injustice - there were "slaves" from all around the world used by other nations long before Africans were (Romans). Most nations have suffered at the hands of other nations and had their identity and religions overtaken. If africa is so civilized and doesn't need intervention why is so much sent in aid and so many suffering from aids or famine?

As for the stealing of wealth it is on display to educate and be admired how civilised, creative our ancestors of whatever culture were.

As long as people keep promoting hatred for their historical cultural injustices then there will always be victims and racism.

when Babylon Came on this Earth for the very first time. Is when Adam and Eve sind. And God cursed the earth. Read Genesis. and this earth Is Still cursed to day This cursed will be brokein when God cleanses the earth with fire. And this is Gods own words.
NEW HEAVEN AND A NEW EARTH." 2. Pet. 3:13. These words of Peter reveal the fact that this Earth is to pass through 3 stages. First the Original Earth that "perished" by WATER. Second the Earth that is now, that is to be renovated or cleansed by FIRE. And this will brake all curses on the earth for the. New and last. Earth that is to exist forever.

( 2 ) When God cursed the earth Becouse, of Adam and Eve sin. Every living thing, on earth, had to sufer. Even Jesus had to sufer and go through trials and tribulations on earth, This explains Babylon reparzenting when sin first came on this earth. God sed I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every living thing,
    as I have done.Befor (Genesis 8:21 KJV)
