COngratulations and 'atta-girl'!!! Our company is going through changes and I didn't even have a performance review in January, the normal time for that. So I haven't heard an 'atta-boy' in ages.

Yeah, he thanked me for making a run to pick up a tool we needed to finish off a project. Which is about as close as my boss gets. :)

Way to go EB! Just remember that one "ohsheet" cancels 10 or more attagirls.

I work for a therapist who believes in spreading positive energy. We get lots of attaboys. ^_^ It's wonderful to work in such an uplifting environment.

Mine said that the quality of my work makes him embarrassed about the quality of his own.
-
So happy for you! It has been a week since I got an "atta girl".

I'm an odd case. My boss gives me (and everyone else) so many atta-boys that they loose meaning. Especially because some of them are completely undeserved.

Yesterday morning the boss said I handled a situation well. It is a good feeling to be praised for sure but in general, I don't expect it - I don't think it happens often at the workplace (I might be wrong) with management - not referring to my boss but just overall. However, it is considered valuable to myself as well as my co-workers that we praise one another.

I don't have a boss anymore but it's funny how just a little acknowledgement like that can make you feel great. More people should try giving credit where it is due because it really is appreciated and remembered. Cool for you.

Not exactly. But I did make a suggestion regarding future training that they are actually implementing. That's pretty rare.
