  • I wouldnt care what any judge said, I would do what I "knew" was the best treatment for my sick child.
  • Personally I think her decision is wrong, but I dont feel the courts should have gotten involved, we should be able to do what we think is best for our children without government stepping in.
  • I really don't want to see any child die if it could be prevented, but I also believe that as long as a parent isn't being malicious or anything that they have the right to choose what kind of treatment the child will get.
  • I have mixed emotions on the issue, on one hand if my child were sick and there was a treatment that could prevent his death I would do it no doubt. BUT, I also feel that each person has the right to choose what is best for their family. I was under the impression that America is a free country.
  • Hard to say, I am a supporter of Homeopathic treatment, but if that doesn't work I go with the drugs. I haven't done any research on the Native ways to see what the success rates are for treating cancer compared to Chemo. Yes, chemo is a very hard treatment to get through, but if it works, it works. The child is only 13 years old, and in MY opinion (only my opinion), not old enough to be making a decision like this. If it were me, I would be doing anything I could to save my child's life even if it make them sick for a while like Chemo tends to do.
  • Native American healing? I'm glad the state took over. She's taking an even bigger chance with his life.
  • I feel that it should be both of their decision, not just the mother, if the son's able to make an educated decision regarding his own treatment.
