Yes. I did so just last night. It annoys me because I'm a good speller and typist, so I expect things to be accurate and correct.
-
Many times...I proof read it several times then after I submit I see some silly mistake I made...I have even written answers in Word and pasted them in.
-
Yes I do. I proofread, correct, and revise a lot of my answers. I do the same with my questions, but not as much because of the 5-minute time limit.
-
Absolutely. I owe that to the other users here for clarity, and to set a good example.
-
Yes. I rarely post and never have to correct. Unfortunately a glitch in the AB software means there is sometimes a long delay.
-
Always. I notice spelling errors later and also that I've left out a key word..now mind you this is despite the fact that I read and re-read and read again my questions/answers/comments before I hit "submit". Even so, I make mistakes all the time. But I never change an answer. I never read other answers..I just say what I think and move on. If someone comments and I go back to answer and notice an error in spelling or that I've left out a word it is at that point that I make the correction. :)
-
On questions if I run out of time I ask the staff through feedback to correct it for me. They always come through. but yes if I catch it I fix it.
-
Yes I do. I proof read my submissions to begin with but some things get missed and I try to make corrections before they time-out. I feel like an idiot when I see mistakes later and it's too late to fix them. :)
-
I do that all the time in answers, thank goodness for the "Edit" option. In questions you have to be extra-careful as there are only 5 minutes after posting in which you can do so.
-
Sure. But it would probably be too late for questions. However, I generally don't correct errors in quotes.
-
absolutely if I catch it I do
-
Yes, when I catch them in time I always fix them.
-
I always go back and correct if I can. I do not like reading misspellings and missing words, etc. So, I try to make my Q and A as good as I can.
-
Yes, and I always hope I can edit it before someone reads it. :)
-
Usually, yes, I hate having spelling mistakes in my answers
-
My spelling and grammar is atroose, attrosush, attroshos, is really bad so i try to correct it if i can, curse you spell checker that makes me lazy.
-
yes, my sentance structure and verbage are nearly as tough to understand as yodas (because it is precise rather than general) so I have to minimize other things which might confuse people
-
Yes, if the error can complicate the understanding of my question/answer. But if it's a minor error, I might just leave it there...
-
Definitely. I don't like leaving things incorrect if I can help it.
-
yes if i notice it.
-
Usually.
-
If it is within the same day, I always do. If I notice it a few days or weeks later, I probably won't bother, but I have done it once or twice.
-
Yes. The problem is, I most usually get on AB when I'm very tired and make more grammatical or spelling errors. I don't notice them until the following day when I read comments. It's a shame I can't edit my comments after a certain period of time. :) Take care Mira Sorvino! :P
-
Congratulations Rosie. Just had a look at your profile,WOW. My question is. When I notice i have made an error, I have been letting it go as I don't know how to fix it. You seem to be a very busy person so don't worry if you haven't time to explain. Once again congats.
-
Yes I do.
