As you're on your period, it's mostly that you're not pregnant; though if you're worried I'd suggest you to have a check [ you can do it at home by yourself]. It sometimes bleeds during periods and nothing to worry about it. Ovaries produce ovum[egg]once each month [the cycle is 28-35 on average] and if not fertilised by sperm,ovum follicle tissues collapsed, along with some vaginal tissue and blood are discarded as meanstruation. The vaginal wall is reconstructed. As you're lossing blood you should take iron-containing foods and may take some iron-tablets[if your physician advises]. Now,about the question you made, you didn't mention does your stomach/abdomen ache? What brown spot,on vagina/cervix/brown secration? You should wait 2 more days before taking any steps. Why don't you meet your physician or a gynocologist?
