5 years ago. My mom, my daugher and I travelled to my grandma's town. It was an overnight trip within Russia. Excellent service, great food, a bottle of nice wine. We were happiest of all! I love to look through those pictures. Happy times...

last September in Holland: went from Amsterdam to Maastrict.
Too long. A short commute from San Diego to San Jsidro doesn't really count.
Last night, so about 12 hours.
A few years now. There's a train museum here, but I haven't gone by in some time now.

about a month ago if the train at the zoo counts. Other than that, it was about 15-16 yrs ago when we rode a train thru the Black Hills in South Dakota.

The last schedualed train I rode was in 1959.
I have riden the Silverton Train (Durango, Colorado to Silverton, Colorado) last time around 1987, The Cumbres-Toltec (Antonito, Colorado to Chalma, New Mexico) about 1978. I don't remember the name of the railroad but it was in Leadville, Colorado. Rode in the engine. All these trains are tourist trains. The Silverton and the Cumbres-Toltec are narrow gage trains.

Many years. When I was around eight watching the switch engine at the rail yard with my Dad, the engineer stopped, and asked us if we wanted to go for a ride! It was quite fun, and he even offered to let me run the throttle! Rock Island #923 was the engine number.

2 days ago. DC to NY and back....and it sucked, honestly I would have just driven (takes about the same amount of time) but it was a work related trip and they bought me a ticket.
Have you ever ridden a super train, one of those really fast trains? Seems to be perfect in Japan.
