  • I REALLY can`t figure That out,to me it sounds like THIEFT!
  • This is only My opinion.I cant even consider having that much in the first place. Then to misplace it?...If they dont know what happened to it.Maybe is time for a new Federal Reserve.I think I have the right to know.If they were going to simply "lose" it.They could have "lost" some of it in My pocket....lol.Would have been great actually. Is My opinion.Doesnt make it right or wrong.Just Mine.
  • Could you provide a link please? Im beginning to feel waves of disgust coming on, and I'd like to avoid it if at all possible. +5
  • yeah man that's one HUUGE oops!
  • Don't get me wrong, I hate the Federal Reserve. Right now I am clenching my jaw to keep from going off on a rant about it. But your facts are wrong. They didn't "lose" anywhere near that much money. The pledged $12.8 trillion earlier in the year and then later reduced the amount to approximately $9 trillion. Of this money, the Inspector General of the Federal Reserve admitted that indeed trillions are unaccounted for, but more along the lines of three trillion, rather than almost thirteen. My biggest gripe with the Federal Reserve lies in the second part of your question; the lack of disclosure on the part of the Federal Reserve. According to the Freedom of Information Act they are requires to share this information, yet they fail to do so. Bloomberg actually has a current lawsuit against the Federal Reserve for these reasons. The Bloomberg lawsuit is Bloomberg LP v. Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, 08-CV-9595, U.S. District Court, Southern District of New York. • Well, surely this is understandable, isn't it? After all, imagine that YOU had 'misplaced' nearly 13 trillion dollars. Can you imagine what your yard would look like if you made that knowledge public and had every Tom, Dick and Harry coming over with a crew of laborers to try to dig it up?
  • The same way that the Texas Republicans misplaced $155 million in money appropriated by the legislature and placed into the state comptrollers account with the blessing of the attorney general. It hurts, doesn't it? Do we have the right to know on this one? Yeah, they tell us they have to power to do whatever they want.
