  • Evil is a verb. It's about what you do not what you think.
  • God doesn't represent all that is good, he represents all things that mankind is ignorant of.
  • F*ckin' A, Bubba! If you use a word like "evil", it *gots* to be true, no?! ;-)
  • I don't think the question really asks the right question. Evil isn't the opposite of good, it's the absence of good. God is all that is good. So when it comes to evil and good, it all depends on it's closeness to God and what He is. So to disbelieve in God isn't necessarily asking the right question.
  • Nope. He's a myth so not believing makes you rational. +5
  • Athiest are not evil. They just dont believe in God
  • I will go on the assumption that you are referring to the Christian god (remember, there are many, many gods out there, over 3,000 according to http://www.godchecker.com/). To say that the Christian god represents all good things indicates a poor understanding of the religious writings of that religion. "How blessed will be the one who seizes and dashes your little ones against the rock" is written in Psalm 137. The Christian god blesses those who smash babies on rocks, and according to you that is good and not evil? I think those who don't believe are far better morally than those that do believe. Several studies exist that demonstrate this, such as Gregory Paul's "Cross-National Correlations of Quantifiable Societal Health with Popular Religiosity and Secularism in the Prosperous Democracies" (http://moses.creighton.edu/JRS/2005/2005-11.html). Also, an examination of prison population shows that, while atheists represent around 16% of the population in the United States, they make up only about 0.2% of the prison population. Christian numbers in prison, on the other hand, closely reflect their numbers in society.
