I think I was 4 or 5. When my dad took the training wheels off of my freakin' SWEET purple bike with white tires, I about killed myself. It had the kind of brakes that you pushed backwards on the pedals to make it stop, and I tried to be cool by standing up and pedaling and accidentally pushed backwards...oops!! Went right over the handlebars. The training wheels went back on for a couple more weeks but I didn't want to ride anymore!

I think I was seven by the time my raining wheels came of my bike. Before then I was to afraid of getting hurt.

would you believe I never did? my father was a road racer, but my mother decided that it was too dangerous in Sydney to have a bike, so I never got one. My brother had one when he was small and we were living in the country, but I can't remember him having one once we moved. As a result of my lack of experience on bikes, I managed to stack most of the ones I ever got on. LOL

I got my first 2 wheeler for my 6th birthday. A red Schwinn with the big balloon type tires. It didn't have training wheels, my father thought those were for sissies. I only crashed 3 times before I got it down.
