If someone without a current police record burned off their fingerprints, intentionally or unintentionally, would there be problems if/when they do go to get fingerprinted? (Whether it be for a job or for a crime.) Could they be fined?

I assume you are asking this question just for information and curiosity, right? Without fingerprints, any government or security employment, would be non-existent. most any other worthwhile job would also be out of your future. I know of no law that states an indiviual person must have fingerprints. the only other alternative, may be the use of toe prints. remember, when you were born?
