Help answer this question below.

I've been playing my old PS1 games on my PS2 for old times sake, and my friend gave me his old ps1 game, and when i got home to play, it i got "disc read error" or "please insert a ps or ps2 disc". is it the system or the game?

Does your PS2 read other PS1 discs?
If so then its its most likely the single disc. Does his disc work in his PS2 ?

I don't know... I get the exact same thing! i think that its some thing wrong with the play station its self. My family is thinking of upgrading to a PS3. I heard they work really good with other PS games... I hope you find a way! i will keep checking up for answers that we can both use...

My ps2 game (ratchet and clank 2) has been loading until the cut scene before you start playing, then it just repeats itself over and over.
