  • The best way to get someone to answer your question is to word it clearly and categorize it properly. There is no way to "bump" your question, so you must rely only on what you are asking. If you do the first two things and it remains unanswered, then one of the many members who peruse through Unanswered Questions will eventually pick up on it. What NOT to do is to continue asking the same question but phrasing it differently. Also, do not answer your own question with "Bump" and "Someone please answer!" as these can be annoying. Plus, it will then be considered as an answered question and will be removed from the Unanswered Questions category, so people will assume that your question has been satisfied and will not bother to investigate it further.
  • 1) The fastest way to get an answer for your question is to ask it by using the "Search for Answers" default setting, and to look in the list of the proposed questions if your question or a similar one has already been asked. An other advantage is that you will avoid to post a duplicate. Unfortunately, not the questions which need to be answered get answered quickly and many times, but rather the questions that other users find interesting to answer. Still unanswered questions get on special unanswered questions lists and are also indicated in orange. 2) There are some tricks to give your question some more attention, but beware! Don't abuse of those tricks, some of them are not very appreciated by other users (answering your own question, doing it repeatedly, re-asking the question, asking a question about that question, giving a link to your question in an answer to another question or inside a comment thread, asking another user or friend). 3) You can edit your question in the first few minutes after it has been posted, but it is better to use this feature just to correct some errors or minor details in the question. If you write a totally different question, and the original question has already been answered, you could annoy those answerers. You cannot delete a question. However, if a question is rejected as spam/offensive or nonsense, it will no more be visible on Answerbag question lists. It will only be visible on your private profile: http://www.answerbag.com/profile/ However, it won't be visible on your public profile question list: http://www.answerbag.com/profile/?id=961297 (for the user with ID 961297) Also, if your question is rejected as a duplicate, it will be integrated into the original question. In the few minutes where you can still edit your question, you could edit it to ";" to have it rejected as nonsense.
