All the time. There are times in the year when the main street is closed off in my town and vendors line the streets for whatever reason. (Christmas Stroll, Spring Fling are a couple of our towns events) And you can buy anything from food to clothes) +5

Hot dogs, hamburgers, cotton candy, ice cream and then one time I bought a wrist watch from a guy wearing a long trench coat full them. The watch even worked for six months, so I guess I got my 2 bucks worth. LOL :)

Yes many things. I am not too happy buying food from them though I prefer people that I buy food from to have a place to wash their hands.

Yes. When I worked downtown, there was a guy that set up a booth in front of my building. He sold T-shirts, jewelry, perfume oils and what not. I bought a lot of things from him. Hot Dog vendors,,,no way!! I agree with Firebrand about the hand washing issue.
