I was, and most of the people I know were, for some reason. Maybe we are all magnets.

I knew this woman at work who would. Her kids were put in foster care, in fact my aunt was their foster mother. I was with those two a lot. Wonderful kids, but there was always that fear in their eyes. Like they couldn't fully enjoy being kids. I don't know where they are now, but I think about those two every once in awhile.

I was abused as a child. -
One of my best friends from High School has kids and he sexually abuses them. I hate it, I've tried everything to get them away from him, but the $%&^ING system is so screwed up that there's nothing I can do. I even spent a year working for CPS trying to learn the system enough to get things rolling, but I got no help.

I was physically abused by my father from about the age of 12 up until I finally built up the strength and courage to fight back at the age of 17.
